Just wanted to thank Rowing and Sailing Association De Amstel for a great experience I had as a visiting rower from North Bay Rowing Club in Petaluma, CA, USA.

Specifically, I want to sing praises for Wouter van Ginkel, clearly a local legend and a humble, generous facilitator of the superb rowing experience I had today. He both acted as tour guide and coach for this under-experienced rower of skiffs (I mostly row sweeps and quads).

The cappuccino and conversation afterward was just as rewarding, along with all the friendly club members who welcomed me.

I look forward to returning, hopefully with a few rowing friends in tow. My club near San Francisco of course welcomes any of your members to row on our river just minutes from wine country.
